What are Veneers?
Veneers are one of the best cosmetic solutions used to help create your dream smile. There are two different options – porcelain veneers which are made of very thin, natural-looking material that is bonded to the surface of the teeth or composite resin veneers, where layers of resin are built up over the tooth.
Both types of veneers have their benefits; however, porcelain veneers are considered the superior and advanced product, providing impressive longevity and beautiful aesthetic results.
Our Process
1Consultation and Treatment Planning
During your initial dental veneers treatment consultation, the dentist will examine your natural teeth, discuss your ideal porcelain dental veneers goals, and create a customised treatment plan with the associated cost of porcelain veneers. This will involve determining the number of porcelain veneers needed and the desired shade of the tooth enamel.
2Tooth Preparation
In most cases, a thin layer of enamel must be removed from the teeth’ front surface to adequately accommodate the veneers. This step ensures a natural-looking fit – but is irreversible once the tooth shaving is completed.
3Impressions and Fabrication
Once they are prepared, impressions of your teeth will be taken and sent to a dental lab, where skilled technicians will craft your custom porcelain veneers.
4Temporary Veneers
While your permanent veneers are being fabricated, temporary veneers may be placed on your teeth to protect them. This may or may not be included in the price of your treatment; make sure you are clear on your inclusions and what may be additional.
5Adjustments
When the veneers are designed, the dentist and lab technician will check their fit and appearance to ensure you are happy with the fit, colour and design before bonding them to your teeth. The dentist will make minor adjustments to ensure your bite is comfortable and the veneers blend seamlessly with your natural smile.
6Final Cementing
Once the final veneers are prepared, the dentist will thoroughly assess their final fit and appearance. Subsequently, the porcelain veneers will be bonded to your teeth using a dental adhesive. During the last phase of the dental veneers’ procedure, the dental bonding, a specialised light beam will be used to activate the chemicals in the dental cement, prompting a rapid hardening and bonding of the porcelain veneers to your tooth (a process known as photopolymerisation).
Veneers Pricing
The level of customisation you choose and the type of veneers will determine the cost of your veneers. Veneers are typically quoted on a per-tooth basis, with top-of-the-range porcelain veneer costs ranging from $2,000 – $2,500 per tooth. The cost becomes cheaper the more veneers you have and depends on your outcome goals. Typically, veneer treatments are delivered in sets of 4, 6, or 8 teeth.
FAQ: Veneers

Am I A Candidate For Porcelain Veneers?
Veneers are a cosmetic solution, not a therapeutic one, and are still a serious and permanent dental procedure. For your veneer procedure to be successful, you must have good oral hygiene and healthy gum tissue. Any existing dental problems, such as teeth straightening, will need to be completed before we place your dental veneers.
If you grind your teeth frequently (bruxism), porcelain veneers may not be suitable for you as you could potentially chip, break or even detach your veneers from your teeth. It is important to note that veneers are irreversible as the process requires the teeth to be shaved down to about ½ millimetre thick. The list of the positives does outweigh the negatives, but when considering veneers, you should be aware that this is a permanent commitment.
