So you have booked your complimentary dental implant consultation at Aria Dental, and you are likely wondering what will happen?
On arrival at Aria Dental, you will be greeted by our friendly reception team. You will need to complete our new patient information form, which will include your contact information, any medications you are taking, medical history and provide your health insurance information (if you have). While you wait, you are welcome to take advantage of our free Wi-Fi, reading materials, cold water station, and toilets.
For your appointment, you will be collected by one of our caring nursing team, who will take you through to the clinical room. It is here that you will meet your Aria dentist, or our specialist, who will undertake your dental consultation. Your dentist will complete an initial oral examination, and your nurse will take detailed records. Your dentist is likely to take intraoral photos and head and shoulder images.
Should your consultation require some more in-depth diagnostics, your dentist may request to take some additional 3D x-rays, radiographs, impressions &/or models. These additional diagnostics are not free, and your dentist will advise of the need and the costs involved – and you can choose if you would like to proceed. If you have private health insurance, it likely your rebate will cover these extra services.
Once your dentist has all the required information, you will be taken into a private space to meet your Treatment Coordinator. With your coordinator present, your Dentist will outline their findings and their treatment recommendations. This conversation will cover the oral health issues they have diagnosed, what treatment options will help with your particular issue/s, potential sedation options you might like to consider, details on any potential risks or complications, the cost of your treatment options and any financial options for your consideration. It’s likely your dentist will then leave you in the capable hands of your Treatment Coordinator, who will be able to answer any unanswered questions you may have, they will finalise your consultation, offer you an information pack to take home and their contact details. Your allocated Treatment Coordinator will be your main point of contact if you need anything in the future.
Approximately 2 weeks later, you will receive a comprehensive treatment plan letter in the mail or by email from your dentist. This letter will include all your treatment details such as their findings, dental item numbers, treatment & healing timeline and a formal treatment plan cost. If you have private health insurance, you can use this treatment plan to find out your health fund coverage. You will also receive a follow up phone call from your Treatment Coordinator to touch base, make sure you understand everything and answer any questions you may have about your letter.
From this point, you can then decide to proceed with your treatment plan. In order to book a surgical date, we require a 50% deposit. Our Treatment Coordination team can help you investigate any financial options, such as “Buy Now, Pay Later” interest free installments and Early Release Superannuation.
